Monroe County Drug Bust Nets Four Arrests
MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – An alleged drug deal is broken up, landing four in jail, and a little girl in child services.
Monroe County deputies arrested Don Anderson, 37, along with Joseph Gilmore, 38, Ashley Miller, 29, and Jessi Nicole Gibson, 26, yesterday, February 7.
The four were at a house on Metts Road near Highway 6, but when deputies closed in, Anderson fled in a vehicle.
After a brief chase he was caught and faces Felony Fleeing charges, along with Possession and Sale of Meth, and Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
Gilmore faces Possession and Sale of Meth charges while Gibson is booked on a Possession of Drug Paraphernalia charge.
Miller is booked on a Sale of Methamphetamine charge.
Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says, a child was also present during the alleged deal, meaning Anderson and Miller will also face Child Abuse charges.
Child services plan to test the girl for any traces of meth.
