3-Year-Old Seriously Injured in Itawamba Co. Wreck

ITAWAMBA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating a wreck that sent a young child to the hospital with life threatening injuries.

It happened around 6 p.m. Sunday on MS 25 south, near New Salem Church in Itawamba County.

Troopers say Spencer Harlow, of Mantachie, was heading south when his vehicle crashed head-on into another car.

Both Harlow and the other driver were sent to the hospital with moderate injuries.

A three-year-old in Harlow’s vehicle is recovering at a Memphis hospital with life threatening injuries.

MHP says the child wasn’t properly fastened in a child restraint.
