3 WCBI Viewing Area Counties Under Burn Ban

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Three counties in the area are under a burn ban.

Yalobusha, Grenada and Montgomery counties are under a burn ban.

Despite recent rains, dry conditions have persisted in the western part of the viewing area.

The U.S. Drought Monitor reports counties along and just north of Highway 82 are abnormally dry.

Some area just south of the major roadway are in a moderate to severe drought.
