2015 MAC All-Star Slow-Pitch Softball Rosters Announced

CLINTON, Miss. (WCBI/MAC) — The 30th Annual MAC All-Star Girls Slow Pitch Softball Games will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015, at Mack Fanning Field at Newton County High School on Highway 503 in Decatur, MS.

Tickets for the games are $5.00 per person for general admission seating.

The following is the game day schedule:
Saturday, November 1, 1:00 PM
Game One, Slow Pitch Class 1A/2A/3A (North v. South)
Immediately following Game One:
Game Two, Slow Pitch Class 4A/5A/6A (North v. South)
Immediately following the 4A/5A/6A game:
Full squad introductions of all slow pitch all-star players, all classes (approximately 3:00 PM)
Immediately following full squad player introductions:
Game Three: 1A/2A/3A game loser vs. 4A/5A/6A game loser
Game Four: 1A/2A/3A game winner vs. 4A/5A/6A game winner.

The All Star Slow Pitch softball games feature a North versus South format and a one-game series per classification. After the format was changed in 2006 and again in 2014, the North leads the 1A/2A/3A slow pitch series 4-1-5 and the 4A/5A/6A games by a tally of 6-2-2. In the 2014 1A/2A/3A game, the North defeated the South 21-19 to maintain a 4-1-5 series lead. In the 4A/5A/6A game, the South toppled the North 17-7 to cut the North’s overall series lead to 6-2-2. In the first overall meetings between the smaller and larger classifications, the South 1A/2A/3A squad beat the North 4A/5A/6A team 25-20 in 8 innings while the South 4A/5A/6A All-Stars defeated the North 1A/2A/3A team 20-19 to tie the series at 1-1.
