2 Special Elections In North Mississippi On Tuesday
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – There will be two special elections in north Mississippi on Tuesday.
Columbus Ward 5 residents will selection a new city council representative.
Four candidates will be on the ballot.
Stephen Jones, Gregory “Gary” Jefferson, Cadarrall Eddings, and Marthalie Porter all qualified to run.
The seat opened after Kabir Karriem was elected to the state House of Representatives.
Meanwhile, Kilmichael residents go to the polls to select a new mayor.
Tommy Rushing, Bobby Howell, Jeremy Robinson, and Mary Young are all vying for the position.
Polls in both towns will be open from 7 AM until 7 PM.
