JACKSON, Miss. (WCBI) – The number of people in Mississippi hospitals continues to climb.

1,409 people are hospitalized with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 symptoms.

322 patients are in ICU and 201 ventilators are being used.

The state department of health reports 87 open ICU beds across the state.
