14 Year-Old Fights For His Life After Being Shot In The Face

NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WCBI)- It was an accident that landed a 14 year-old New Albany boy in intensive care with a gun shot wound to the face.

Investigator Chad Glasson says the incident is still under investigation at this time.

But 18 year-old Keffendy Smith of New Albany has been arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and Reckless Endangerment.

Smith and the 14 year-old juvenile were at 408 Broad Street allegedly at a party Sunday night.

Glasson says Smith apparently was dancing around with the weapon when it was discharged.

Smith is being held on a $100,000.

No further information has been released at this time.
