$1 Million Bond Set In Chickasaw Murder Case
CHICKASAW COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A new bond is set for a man charged with murder in Chickasaw County.
Terry Joe Hill is charged with second degree murder. He was originally charged with aggravated assault.
His bond was set at $1 million on Tuesday afternoon in justice court.
Chickasaw County Sheriff Jim Meyers says Johnny Huffman received severe head trauma after an fight with Hill at home, west of Houlka.
The investigation started at the end of May.
Huffman died about two weeks ago.
Meyers says investigators waited on autopsy results and consulted with the district attorney’s office before upgrading the charges this morning.
Hill was out on bond for the original charge of aggravated assault.
