Corey Dean

HAMILTON, Ala. (WCBI) – One of the two jail escapees from Marion County, Alabama is back in jail.

He was caught at his grandmother’s house.

Marion County deputies say Zepplin Kennedy, 20, was arrested in Hamilton, Alabama about 1:30 PM on Tuesday.

Kennedy was in jail on 31 counts of possession of pornography and production of pornography with a minor.

He will now be charged with escape.

Meanwhile, Corey Dean, 22, remains on the run from the law.

He was in jail on burglary, criminal mischief, arson and discharging firearm into unoccupied dwelling charges.

Investigators are concentrating their search for him in the Lamar County, Alabama and east Mississippi area.

Law enforcement believe the duo were recently in Kennedy, Alabama together.

Then the two men split up.

Eight people have been charged, so far, with helping Kennedy and Dean make a break from deputies across west Alabama.

Multiple agencies are assisting in the search.

Here is the press release verbatim from Marion County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Jeff Davis:

“Marion County Jail escapee Zeppelin Kennedy has been apprehended.  Subject was arrested on today’s date at approximately 130 PM.  Subject was arrested at his grandmother’s house in Hamilton, AL.

Kennedy was arrested on an Escape 2nd degree warrant and possibly will have more charges pending.

As Sheriff Williams stressed yesterday, if you are caught aiding or assisting the escapees, you will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Unfortunately, not everyone believed that, and thought it would be wise to assist the escapees.  As a result, Zeppelin Kennedy’s grandmother, Margie Annette Huddleston was arrested.  Huddleston is a 57 year old white female and was charged with Aiding and Abetting.

Law enforcement is still actively searching for escapee Corey Dean.

Sheriff Williams and I, would like to thank the community for all the tips that have been provided and would ask that you please continue to contact the Marion County Sheriff’s Department with any tips on Dean’s whereabouts.

If you see escapee Cory Dean, please contact your local law enforcement agency or call the Marion County Sheriff’ Department at (2105) 921-7433.”
