Video: 1 Injured In Lowndes County Crash

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – One person is injured after a car tries to pass a vehicle that was making a turn.

The crash happened on Frontage Road, near EMCC, just before noon on Tuesday.

State troopers say the car driven by Robert McCoy, 21, of Macon attempted to pass the Buick driven by Stephen Malone, 49.

Investigators believe the Malone was turning left onto Artesia Road when McCoy attempted to pass him and crashed.

McCoy’s vehicle rolled over and landed in a ditch.

Malone was not injured.

McCoy was taken to the hospital.

MHP continues to investigate the accident.
