1 dead, 1 in custody after shooting

OKOLONA, Miss. (WCBI)- A shooting investigation is underway in Okolona after Police Chief Tommy Ivy one person is dead following a late evening shooting.

Chief Ivy says it happened somewhere between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening on Chenault Street.

Early indications point towards two people being in an argument and at some point a gun was pulled, and shots were fired, according to Chief Ivy.

No names are being released at this time.

The shooting remains under investigation.
