Video: Owner of Historic Waverley Mansion Dies

CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) -The owner of the historic Waverley Mansion in Clay County has passed away.

Robert Snow died Sunday night.

The Snow family bought and restored the Antebellum home in 1962 after it had fallen into disrepair, and spent years restoring it and the grounds to their former glory.

The home and the Snow Family have been awarded a number of honors for historic restoration and preservation.

Waverley is open for tours and is often a venue for weddings and other events.

Services for Snow are being handled by Calvert Funeral Home in West Point.
