Mac’s Roll Out For Lowndes County Students

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The Lowndes County School District is rolling out something exciting.
Saturday, students and their parents filled West Lowndes High School to receive their new Mac Book Air Laptops.

The Mac’s are part of the one to one initiative, in which all students in the district will receive a device.

The students are also equipped with a case and back pack designed to protect the Mac’s.

“We’re excited about them because we don’t have to carry large books around everyday to school and it’s giving us a taste of what college is like,” said senior student, Icis Harris.
There is a $25 fee for the laptops and students also have to watch a short video about the computers.
