Chaney, Pegues Named To Nagurski Trophy Watch List
 STARKVILLE, Miss. – The Football Writers Association of America has announced that Mississippi State seniors Jamar Chaney and Derek Pegues have been named to the Watch List for the 2008 Bronko Nagurski Trophy, awarded to the best defensive player in college football.

Croom To Host Golf Tourney For Diabetes Foundation
 STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State head football coach Sylvester Croom will host the Bulldog Scramble Golf Tournament at Dancing Rabbit Golf Club at Pearl River Resort on Monday, May 12. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi.

Smith, Douglas Headline Football Spring Awards
 STARKVILLE, Miss. – Rising seniors Jamayel Smith and Dominic Douglas were named the top offensive and defensive players of the spring, head football coach Sylvester Croom announced on Tuesday. Senior offensive lineman Michael Gates and junior defensive lineman Kyle Love were also recognized as the most improved players on each side of the ball.
