This event welcomes students, faculty, area residents, and business leaders to gather and share storytelling ideas and techniques.
The festival also highlights the state’s role in influencing change in traditional and emerging platform narratives.
Department of Communications Head Dr. John Forde says this festival is a great way to expose students to different approaches to storytelling.
“Focusing on the ways we are changing how we communicate and also the many contributions of Mississippians, those with strong ties to the state. If this goes well we’re already talking about making it an annual event,” said Forde.
