Lawsuit Challenges Ban On Same Sex Adoptions

(JACKSON, Ms) WCBI – A federal lawsuit is challenging Mississippi’s ban on same sex couples adopting children. The federal suit is being filed by four same sex coupes Two who are trying to adopt and two who already have children living with them.   The suit claims the ban discriminates against same sex couples and violates the equal protection clause of the constitution..  Mississippi is the only state on the country which such a ban in place.
