Video: Fire Destroys Youth Ministry Van

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — A local Christian ministry group is looking to raise money for a new mode of transportation, after their van was destroyed by a fire over the weekend.

Christian World Missions works with youth in Starkville, as part of its “Youth Community Explosion” program.

The group was on their way to Lake Lowndes on Saturday for a retreat, when their ministry van caught fire.

Program leaders say they use the van to pick the kids up from school, and take them on field trips, service projects, or overnight adventures.

Without the van, it’s more difficult to organize trips.
