Video: Crews Cleaning Up Calhoun Co. Gas Leak

DERMA, Miss. (WCBI) — Crews are working to stop a gas leak in Calhoun County.

EMA Director Randy Skinner tells WCBI the underground tank at the Derma One Stop gas station blew around 5 p.m., Tuesday.

Now the gas is mixing with the water table.

Skinner says there’s no new gas, but the fuel in the tank is leaking out, and bubbling up at the top.

WCBI is told a contractor is on-site working to build a dam to keep gas from leaking onto Highway 8.
