OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - A federal judge has ordered a new trial for a Batesville businessman convicted for his role in an alleged multimillion dollar medical fraud scheme.
    
The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports (http://bit.ly/Rip7KE ) that U.S. District Judge Neal B. Biggers threw out Lee Garner's conviction on four counts. Bigger also vacated two of former hospital administrator Ray Shoemaker's 10 guilty verdicts.
   
Biggers grant the two men new trials on those counts.
   
Garner and Shoemaker were convicted last March of allegedly conspiring to boost Garner's nurse staffing business and pay Shoemaker for his assistance as a key executive at Tri-Lakes Medical Center in Batesville.
